Welcome Thai is an authentic Thai restaurant, situated right in the heart of Toorak. Jo is the proud owner here, and he’s always dreamed of opening a Thai restaurant of his own. Sure enough, in 2009 he made that dream a reality.
“I've always been fascinated about food and Thai cuisine in particular. That’s why I am very proud to have a restaurant of my very own” Jo, owner of Welcome Thai.
Welcome Thai has been opened for over 15 years but ever since Jo took over, the restaurant has truly blossomed. What makes it special is the personal touch. All the dishes on the menu have been personally created by Jo’s wife. The dishes stay true to the flavors of Thailand and there are definitely some gems that nobody can pass up! From BBQ Rump Steak to traditional Pad Grapow, and of course Pad Thai – Welcome Thai has something for everyone.
